Ubud

The whole family is back together for a brief time. The girls visited in Jakarta then after they had a quick trip to Jogya we all met up in Bali.

We are been staying in a lovely private villa ( Villa Sagitta ) in near a ravine outside of Ubud. All the kids are in the main house and Alison and I are in the Joglo suite which is an open air Javanese house. At night we can lie in our netted bed and listen to the sounds of nature and the occasional music from the nearby temple.

Yesterday we drove around and visited various temples.

This one is quite old and impressive, though it involved a long walk down and up

Dad would be proud of me as I made Ken walk right round the river so I could get this obscured shot.

Of course we had to get through a maze of stalls on our way out.

The next day Ken and I were driven up the mountains then we mountain biked down. Great easy fun.
