Today I drove us down to Bogor to visit the Botanical Gardens. Bogor is about 60 km away down the same big toll-way we were driven last week. I braved the roads myself this time and after missing the first big turn off Google got us back on the road for a fairy easy trip to Bogor. After a bit of stress finding a car park we found a nearby mall and just parked there.
The botanical garden is a large park right in the centre of Bogor which adjoins the Presidential Palace where Jokowi resides ( He apparently prefers it to the Jakarta white house ). It was great to be out and able to walk around some green stuff. Lots of locals were around having picnics.
The Orchid house was spectacular. We bought some small ones home to die.
Tried to do a HDR photo from phone here, did some strange things to the background building.
