Art & Toilet

Today we went to the Kota Tua, which is the original Dutch settlement of Batavia that became Jakarta. We picked up Alison's friend Erin and then wandered around this open square then went to the Bank Museum.

The Bank Museum was excellent, telling the history of Jakarta though the prism of economics. It had lots of multimedia exhibits. Easily the best bank museum I have ever seen.

We have lunch at the Cafe Batavia which was in an old colonial building and had a great feel. Food was good. Alison had Lamb Chop Sandwich and Peach Surprise which was quite surprising !

We then went past a sign for a Art & Toilet Exhibition, so we had to go in. Still don't know where the toilet fits in but the art exhibition was good.
